At first we feel ‘Bambini’ as a cocktail of fruits where tangerine, lemon, orange and grapefruit dance all together. Bambini is a not very serious perfume that appeals also to very serious people, helping them (it is visible as they smile) no to take themselves too seriously.
I conceived this composition expressly for the joy of children, choosing the essences that are commonly used for them in aromatherapy and that act both on the physical and psychological plane. Bambini is tonic and euphoric, but is also sedative and comforting.
At first we feel Bambini as a cocktail of fruits where tangerine, lemon, orange and grapefruit dance all together. It is this first impression that makes us smile as we are suddenly transported in an emotional flashback to our amazed discovery of the first perfumed joys tangerine-flavoured candies, lemon ice creams and lollipops, orange or grapefruit- flavoured sodas.
How many feasts we had in our childhood with these citrus like tastes! Aesthetically, Bambini is the intriguing scent of a new fruit, born from the union of our favourite ones, that recalls an infinite quantity of pleasant emotions connected to our childhood memories.
The heart of the composition is the mild, serene, softly bitter-sweet scent of neroli, the essence of orange blossoms, the flower of spiritual purity, ‘whose perfume, sedative and relaxing, keeps off from us all material concerns’ (P. Davis, Subtle aromatherapy).
The neroli is often used for agitated or anxious children who sleep with difficulty. Bambini is the perfume that helps us discover the child that is still intact in ourselves.
This fragrance is pleasing at all ages, and may be used in oil to massage new-born children, for the treatment of elderly people s skin, as a evening ‘decompression’ perfume; or to begin our day, driving out morning laziness.
Bambini is the one composition I would advise for pregnant women as a ‘psychological’ fragrance. Bambini is the perfume for the interior child in all senses.
