When I wear Flanel on my beard, the dominant smell of Sandalwood, which is the base of the composition is so similar to the perfume of the damp trees after the rain that the name “Rain Forest” naturally came to me for it.
For the main accord of this bespoke fragrance, I was asked to use Violet leaves, Sandalwood and Oak Moss.
The person for whom it was composed wrote to me:
“Although I was not exactly sure what to expect I am really pleasantly surprised. It’s a great fragrance with a couple of layers. It starts with an earthy/green and then it settles in a very nice woody fragrance with the green still in the background. It’s very natural. I like it already! And it gets better and better.”
